Mamas! I’ve fallen in love all over again with FIT4MOM. This is more than just a workout, we can all agree on that - it’s a lifestyle. It builds us up, provides a community, a village, a lifeline, and continually grows with us. This last part really hits home for me.

We recently moved, and with that I’ve found myself needing a new routine, my previous routine just wasn’t working anymore. One where I was able to get my daily workouts done. I was struggling to find my rhythm, and feeling pretty depleted most days when I just couldn’t seem to make/find the time to carve out for myself.

I love working out, I love the benefits mentally, emotionally and physically it provides me. And along came the virtual lineup of classes. When I first saw the lineup, I was excited!

I attempted a few classes that first week, one early morning (I’ve never been an early morning person), so when that alarm went off Monday morning, I slept right through it. I was disappointed at myself for not waking. I attempted another class one during nap time/ that should work right? Wrong, Jayla didn’t want to nap so I was trapped under a very tired toddler counting the minutes til she fell asleep. But I didn’t lose hope. I reached out to a friend who has been waking up for the early mornings, and asked her to just send me a text. I was missing that accountability. So I enrolled again for an early morning 5am class - Body Boost. The morning of, I set me alarms ( I had about 5 set ) so I wouldn’t sleep through it.

  • My first alarm went off. I snoozed.
  • My second alarm went off. I tossed and turned a little.
  • Then that little text from my friend came through and I had the motivation to get up out of my cozy bed.

I quickly threw some workout clothes on, got my things set up and logged on for the class. The class was great, it kicked my butt, in the best of ways! I felt energized, encouraged, strong, like a badass! And I actually got my entire workout done without interruption!! I truly could connect to my body and dedicate a little bit of my day to just me! I was pumped!!!

I enrolled for another class, and then another! Three weeks later, I’ve completed all of the 5am/5:30am classes - often doubling them up. I love the variety and discovering new ways to challenge myself. I also want everyone to benefit from these classes! I love the in person classes. I love teaching and connecting with moms in nature, but some days it’s just not possible. The virtual classes are meeting all the needs.

So, if you too are wanting to try the classes out, but are hesitant or needing that accountability piece, reach out to a friend! You can reach out to me, too, I’m more than happy to send an encouraging text to give that extra push to try something new! If you don’t have any weights at home or accessible, get creative until you do have some. I’ve used those big laundry detergent cartons and big gallon water jugs (that are like $2 from HEB) canned goods, little water bottles, resistance bands, etc.

I love this village, and want us all to find what’s going to give us that endorphin high!
