Physical fitness has always been an integral part of my life. As a child I participated in many sports and eventually earned a soccer scholarship to The University of Incarnate Word. After graduating from college I realized that physical fitness was more than recreational it was necessary for my mental health. As I started to plan my career and my family I knew two things. First I wanted to stay home with my children and second I wanted to own my own business. In July of 2007, 5 months after my oldest daughter was born and two weeks after moving to Los Angeles I joined Stroller Strides. It was such a great outlet for me at that time. I was living in Los Angeles with no friends or family. Stroller Stride created the community I was missing. Eventually we moved back home to San Antonio and in May of 2008 I opened my own Fit4Mom franchise. Being a franchise owner to Fit4mom has been such a blessing in more ways than I ever could of imagined. It is about more than physical fitness. It is about being healthy role models for our families.more
When I decided to become a stay at home mom with Jackson, I knew it was incredibly important to find time for me. Everyone says that, but it can be hard to put into practice. As soon as Jackson received his 2 month shots, I was itching to find something to do with other moms! That’s when I found Stroller Strides and knew it was something special. It was perfect, and it was just what I needed for my “me time”. Working to get back into shape while singing to my baby, it was exactly what I was looking for. As much as I loved the workout, I also found a group of amazing moms who I could turn to for anything, which every single mom needs. This is what drove my desire to teach- helping to create a connection and bond with other moms. Motherhood can be isolating, and I hope to continue fostering a community where all moms feel welcome, especially after the long, sleepless nights.more
I discovered Stroller Strides one day when I was running through Brackenridge Park with my daughter and saw this long line of energetic mothers and their kids pass by. I knew I had to be part of it, and a couple days later I took my first class and was hooked! Stroller Strides was exactly what I was looking for as a stay at home mother. It combines three of my favorite hobbies, fitness, friends, and fun outdoors, and an added plus, my daughter benefits from all of these as well! Stroller Strides has become a major part of our daily routine, and my daughter is excited to hang out with all of her fellow stroller buddies. The ladies I have met through Stroller Strides have become some of my most cherished friends. They are the village of mothers I go to to share the daily excitement and struggles of motherhood, whether during a jog at class, the playground after, or over a much needed glass of wine at a mother’s night out. Over my time in Stroller Strides I have grown from attending one day a week, to three-six days a week, and then eventually became the play date captain at Brackenridge Park. One of my other passions in life is teaching, which I did for eleven years before deciding to stay at home when my daughter was born. I was excited when the opportunity arose for me to become a Stroller Strides instructor. I look forward to providing the same outlet that was given me, an opportunity to get out of the house for a great workout, with a great group of women, and fun for baby as well!
Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Erin has lived and worked all over the world, including Afghanistan, Vietnam, England and South Africa.
Erin has always been active in sports, participating in basketball, tennis, dance, cheerleading and running track & field for over ten years. A nationally ranked hurdler for years, she competed twice in the Junior Olympics in the 100m and 300m hurdles. As an adult, she has continued that passion for fitness. While living in Vietnam, she started a cheerleading squad to support the local soccer team and she is also a certified yoga teacher who teaches prenatal, "Baby & Me" and "Toddler & Me" yoga classes. In addition to fitness, Erin is a photographer specializing in family, kids and sports photography.
A proud military spouse, Erin first became involved with Fit4Mom when her husband was transferred to Ann Arbor when Erin was thirty-two weeks pregnant with their first child. After their son was born, Erin wanted to find a way to get back in shape and make friends while also including their son. One day, her husband saw a group of women at a coffee shop who told him about Stroller Strides. After her first Stroller Strides class, Erin was hooked and eventually became a Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre instructor.
Erin and her family recently transferred to San Antonio and she is delighted to be joining the North San Antonio Fit4Mom family as a Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre instructor!

I started attending Stroller Strides when my baby boy was 3 months old, in September 2013. Having left my Pre-K - 1st grade teaching job, I was searching for a way to stay connected and not fall off the face of the Earth! My first class was at Brackenridge and I totally thought we were going to be "strolling" through the park drinking Starbucks...but that first class kicked my butt and I LOVED it!!! This was exactly what I was looking for! An awesome workout with no judgey looks...just genuine motivation from the instructor and other moms...sometimes you'll even hear a toddler shouting "Go mommies"!!!! I committed to 3 days a week, which was tuff with a newborn at first, but then I felt myself getting stronger and faster and craving the sweat...and tears...and laughter I shared with these moms. I gradually worked up to 6 days a week and was fitter than pre-pregnancy!!!
I was so excited when the opportunity presented itself for me to instruct. I've been teaching since March 2014 and loving every minute with these moms!!! Plus, I get my teacher fix with the 3-4 year olds...I often say I want a play date with just them;) I love teaching and attending Stroller Strides classes, as I've learned to lead a healthier lifestyle for myself and family. I'm excited to learn and teach the most effective and efficient moves for busy mamas and at the same time be a positive role model for my 14 year old daughter and 1 year old son. Instilling a love for fitness together!
Stroller Strides is so much more than just a great workout! I've made some of the best friends I've ever had!!! We push each other in class, we give each other therapy, we watch each other's kids, we talk/text/hang out outside of class, we cook for new mommies...the list goes on! I'm so honored to be part of such a positive and inspirational group of mommies!!!
I found Stroller Strides when my daughter was 4 months old. We had recently moved to San Antonio and I was transitioning to a stay at home mom with my second child. I immediately fell in love with the Fit4Mom community! The workouts were challenging and I was able to get back in shape while meeting amazing moms and creating beautiful memories with my daughter. My daughter and I love spending our mornings outside, working out with our friends and playing at the park afterwards. Fit4Mom has changed my life forever and I feel so fortunate to have a larger role as an instructor in this amazing community.more
